Fernanda Caio, project manager at Polycontrols, presented her poster on “Influence of the shape and roughness of the substrate on the microstructure coating in the plasma jet suspension” during the annual meeting of Green-SEAM, which took place last week. This poster was made for the ASM Student Contest, where it won the second place! Congratulations Fernanda!
This week is the annual meeting of Green-SEAM. Polycontrols is proud to participate in this strategic network whose main mission is the development of a new generation of surface coatings for advanced manufacturing. This NSERC-supported strategic network brings together a dozen Canadian universities and Research centers as well as several major OEMs and industry professionals to develop and compare innovative solutions while analyzing the environmental aspect of these new surface coatings.
Polycontrols will be at ITSC 2018 (International Thermal Spray Conference) to present their manuscript and the latest developments on Ultrafine Powder Feeding in Thermal/Cold Spray Applications. Organized in Orlando, this International Conference brings together researchers, manufacturers, suppliers and thermal spraying specialists to share innovations and solutions for the industry.
Over the last few months, Polycontrols made a major investment in one of its key sector of activity. We will announce very soon in which sector this investment has been dedicated. Be assured that such an engagement is for the sole purpose of offering you a new, customized service – a service offered exclusively at Polycontrols!
Polycontrols was present at the Aéro Montréal event on April 16th and 17th. The sixth edition of the Aerospace Innovation Forum was, in fact, a global event, bringing together aerospace stakeholders and suppliers to exchange best practices in innovation developed by the industry.
Polycontrols has signed an agreement for the representation of Tricor Coriolis Technology (Tricor) product line. This partnership allows Polycontrols to deliver more than ever world class quality flow measurement solutions and unsurpassed industry experience with a focus on total customer satisfaction.
We believe that by giving back to the community, we will contribute to the growth of many people in many areas. For example, in the beginning of 2017, our corporation decided to invest in a Dek Hockey team which won this year’s Burrows trophy at Victoriaville. Another good example is our annual participation at Action Nouvelle Vie, an organization which helps families and individuals who are in need. We also like to encourage and knowledge sharing, be it with interactions with other businesses or by hiring interns.
It is by advocating innovation and continuous improvement that Polycontrols was able to stand out at the professional level during regional galas. We were the proud recipients of the Gala Excellence Award of the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de la Rive-Sud in 2006, 2007 and, more recently, in 2017!
Winner of the Canadian Innovation Award, Polycontrols Technologies Inc. is a Canadian success story. What started off as a certified calibration lab, grew into the design and fabrication of gas, electrical, and control panels, gas recovery units, robotics, 3D CAD design and simulations, and process integration. Polycontrols is now one of the main Canadian players in the process engineering field. With customers like the US National Air and Space Administration (NASA), Polycontrols is always reaching out to new heights, and commits daily to finding new innovative solutions for your needs.
Polycontrols was honoured last Wednesday at the Dominique-Rollin Gala, on May 10th. We are proud to have won the Excellence Award in the “Succession planning and business transfers” category. It is through our sustained efforts that we have reached a threshold of excellence within our company. We stood out in our niche market thanks to our innovative, creative and productive approach.
This prestigious award highlights the hard work behind the growth of our company, the challenges overcome by our team and the reach of a common goal: customer satisfaction.
We sincerely thank the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the South Shore (CCIRS) as well as our sponsors, Investissement Québec (IQ), Bank of Montreal (BMO) and the BDC, who believed in our project and whose support and advice made this adventure a great success!
